Do I have to be flexible to do yoga?
No way! Most of us come to the mat our own mixture of flexible & inflexible, strong & weak, healthy & healing. One of the many benefits of this practice is that it builds strength & flexibility over time, so whether you've been able to touch your toes since you were 10 or can't imagine a world where that is possible, yoga is for you.
Where are your Beginner Classes? I'm new!
Welcome, new yogis, we're so pumped to have you in our yoga fam! We have LOTS of classes that are beginner friendly! Our open vinyasa flow classes are all level, but move quicker than some of our other classes, so keep that in mind! Let us know if you have questions, or just come on in and give one of these classes a try: Gentle & Restorative Yoga, Curvy Yoga, Yin Yoga, Flow & Restore.
What are your age restrictions on adult classes?
Our "regular" adult classes on the schedule are 16+. We offer a kid's class for ages 3-9 opposite a regular adult class a few times a week, and are working on something that's tween appropriate! Let us know if this is something you and your growing yogi would be interested in, we can't offer everything at once but are looking forward to expanding our youth yogi programming.
Where are you located?
We are located at 80 Rockwood Place, off of East Avenue. The most well known landmark is the Record Archive, but instead of turning left when you pull on Rockwood, you turn right. Drive past the lumberyard to the parking lot at the end. We are on the 2nd floor above the Boxman & next door to Dog E. Woggy dog daycare.
When should I arrive for class?
Class starts AT the time listed on our schedule. Please give yourself time to get checked in and settled before we start class, we understand that traffic & life happen, but for safety reasons (as well as not disrupting the other yogis) we close the class 10 minutes after the time listed on the schedule. Most people come 5-10 minutes before class starts, but give yourself extra time on your first visit, to fill out paperwork, get comfortable & ready for class.
What do I need to bring?
Come as you are! You don't need anything fancier than what you'd wear to the gym to do yoga. Come dressed in comfortable clothes you can move in, and bring a water bottle to fill from our water cooler. Bring a mat if you have one, otherwise we rent them for $2. Most people do yoga barefoot, so no special socks or shoes are required.
What are your prices?

In addition to our current price list, we also offer a pay-what-you-can community class every Sunday at 11am. We understand that a large obstacle for people practicing yoga is price, so we try to offer different types of classes with our staff at a pay-what-you-can rate so you can try different classes, meet new teachers, and have yoga become more accessible to more people.
Do I have to be Queer or Trans to attend Q&T Yoga?
The short answer is yes. This class is designed to be a safer space for the LBGTQIA community, when traditional gym, yoga & exercise settings can be intimidating for members of these communities. The long answer is that we understand that gender & sexuality exist on a spectrum. We would never "police" people who are interested in participating in class. Allies, parents & guardians of young folks, or of shy yogis are welcome to attend with your Q&T yoga buddy. If offering a ride, or being a "workout buddy" is helpful and/or necessary, we support that. Having people you know & trust with you can be a great way to get into a regular practice.
